Composition

Rule of Thirds- because the picture hits the upper right cross-hair

Simplicity- because the backdrop is entirely neutral and there are no other objects

Multiple objects - because it has more then one object

Leading Lines- because when you look at the image the lines and crayons attract your eyes

Good lighting and focus- the camera is focused on one part of the feather and the lighting is making the red pop

Emphasize height & distance- because there is more sky then ground

Emphasize foreground- because there is more ground then sky

Reflection:
This assignment allowed me to expand my knowledge of photography. My strongest image was my first image that represented rule of thirds. One element that made this my strongest image is that i was able to erase someone out of the picture and make it seem as if he was never there. Another element that made this my strongest image was how light the skeleton was on the black background. The third element that made this my strongest image was how simple it was, but at the same time it was still a good picture. My weakest image is, emphasize height and distance. I had a lot of difficulty with capturing this picture because it was hard to get the angles right. Three elements that make this my weakest image is the lighting, angle, and the location. I can choose a better location with less trees and cars, choose a time where there is good lightning, and make sure that my camera is straight when i take the picture to make it stronger. Overall i think that i put enough effort in this assignment to get good quality pictures, but next time i could take time out of school to take pictures.

  2. ALWAYS check your levels and edit your pictures. Several appear to have not been touched in photoshop.

  3. Very creative photos and you have very good angles. Some photos do not look like they have been edited in Photoshop. I loved the crayon photo.

  4. The pictures are nice, I would just say that the emphasis on height and distance is a bit bright and then emphasis on foreground is kinda dark.
